Akira Tago (多湖輝) was a professor in Chiba University, Japan. He mostly helped children with learning difficulties.
Professor Tago was renowned for his successful Head Gymnastics books, selling several millions of copies. These books contain various puzzles for the reader to solve. The books have served as a base for the games in the Professor Layton series. Professor Tago worked as a game director for all of the games in the original and prequel trilogies.
Unfortunately, he passed away in March 2016 at the age of 90.[1]
