- "Eternal Life, instant death ... Well, what a twist! How ingenious."
- — Annie when the game for Eternal Life begins, Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva
Annie Dretche is a major character in Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva. She was a novelist who ended up as a contestant in the game for Eternal Life.
Profile[]
Appearance[]
During Eternal Diva, Annie wore a long yellow dress with light purple trimming, and a purple shawl tied with a white ribbon. She also wore earrings, white gloves, purple shoes, and her hair up in a bun.
Personality[]
Though being proud of her work, Annie was one of the humblest contestants, who wanted Eternal Life so she could continue with writing forever more.
Plot[]
Annie first appeared in Eternal Diva after the Eternal Kingdom opera finished at the Crown Petone. She commented on the masked man's proposition of the game for Eternal Life, finding it very clever.
She managed to solve Puzzle No.001 and Puzzle No.002 without much difficulty. Whilst talking about one of her novels in the lifeboat, Celia recognised her, to which Annie was flattered. She then introduced Celia, Frederick and Pierre to Curtis.
When the contestants arrived at Ambrosia and found the feast on the beach, she also ignored Amelia's skepticality and poured herself a glass of wine.
She lost the game at Puzzle No.003, as her group used the cage to try and trap the wolves, which failed.
Annie was in the credits, giving a bedridden Frederick copies of her books to read.
