A kind-hearted, if slightly meddlesome, woman who has been looking out for Romilda and Julien since they were children. She helped young ladies flee the Dragonlord's chapel, and in fact, Hoogland girls would volunteer to be brides in order to escape the village. Beatrix also makes wonderful jam.
