Note: This is written back in first person now. That person is Janice!

The professor stared at thin air, Katia was just standing there, and the undead; they just froze. I actually think the professor knew who this person was.

    "Lisa..." he softly said.

We were puzzled, but said nothing. However, the professor leapt into action, and gave us all instructions on what to do. "Katia and Luke, get your things. Claire, Sophia, Melina, follow us. Janice," he paused and stared. "We are going to solve this mystery." Layton ran out of the building and jumped into the Laytonmobile with Luke, Claire, Melina and Sophia. Katia got in her car, and I jumped on Emmy's motorbike and lead the way. Emmy said I could borrow it, now she has a plane instead!

    The journ…

Read this first: This chapter is not written in first person, but third person instead. It is quite short, because it is only a clip of something else going on at the same time.

IT REVEALS THE MYSTERIOUS YOUNG WOMAN'S IDENTITY! Lisa ran, as far away as she could. The note she left by Layton's office, the fact that Janice saw her and knew her! She drove away, and arrived at her mansion just mere minutes later. Jean Descole, her uncle, awaited her there. Lisa ran inside, and dropped down on her 5-seater leather sofa, and showed Descole the photos of Professor Layton, Janice, Luke and the others. Jean Descole was the professor's worst enemy, and his niece, Lisa Layton, shared the same rivalry. Lisa was Professor Layton's daughter.

    "We must take…

The call I got was from Oswald Whistler. He stated the fact that he saw a strange light on the beach, and he described it the same way I would have described the light I saw on the beach that very same day. I had to get back to Melina and the professor fast. Real fast. As I shouted out "Professor Layton, Melina!" the mysterious girl ran away, looking like she was in trouble.

I burst into the professor's office, where I found Melina, looking very tearful, on her phone to Mr. Whistler. Now he knew about everything. But I heard him say something that made Melina even more upset. Oswald asked Melina if she had met her mother. Melina shook her head and whispered a tiny "No. What happened to her; why would I meet her? Have you?". Oswald sadly rep…

This story is written in first person. That person is Janice Quatlane. This is my idea for the final ever Professor Layton game. The 7th game, taking place 7 months after the events of the Unwound Future. It is a flashback that incudes Janice's childhood, and a mystery she solved with Professor Layton.

    Chapter One -

I couldn't believe what had happened. It was so puzzling that I knew that I needed help from the professor. He was the only one who could help me solve it. So help from him was what I got. I went over to his place and he showed me something unbelievable too. But, first, is a good idea to tell you what I found.

I was walking along an Ambrosian beach. Where my best friend Melina and I used to play. But, all of a sudden, I was knocke…

Yeah, part 3. This issue is a little late, but oh well. I have to keep the show going, no matter what. Enjoy, part 3.

    Puzzle Number 002!
"There are 15 patient rooms of the second floor of the hospital, with each room having a single door to enter. There is also one singular hallway. The floor is perfectly symmetric in design and the rooms are each the same size and shape. This floor also houses 15 doors. There is one problem with this design, however. Your job is to find out what that design flaw is."

Layton looks at the message and wonders how much it seems like a puzzle. Luke then tells him that it probably is and Flora is the one who made. Layton begins to chuckle, liking the gesture Flora has given him. He begins pacing the room, wondering …

As the two heroes ride into the nightly lit London, they notice some of the strange shadows creeping about. Upon reaching their first turn, Luke begins to fret that something might of happened to Flora and the good doctor. Layton disbelieves some that awful could happen and then gasps at the bright sight ahead. Luke quips that it can't be anything good, at least not for them. Layton makes a sharp turn, however giant pillars raise from the streets of London.

Layton and Luke realize the danger that has been set before them. With the horrific sky and dangerous roa…

After I created my first Sims 2 movie for an English project, I always wondered how I could make one with a story out of Professor Layton. When I found the most beautiful song written for Iris by YouTube user 'adrisaurus', it was the kick I needed to create this. Enjoy :)

Well folks. I have decided to make a fan fiction because...why not. This story is about a lost artifact known as the Lost Grimoire. A few weeks after the events of Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box, Professor Layton and Luke find themselves traversing London, looking for a mysterious man who is somehow connected to the book. What will happen in this exciting fan-made installment of the Professor Layton series.

Professor Layton was standing in his office while Luke, his young apprentice, was wandering the halls nearby. Layton sipped some tea and left the room. Much to his amazement, Luke was glaring strangely at a peculiar painting. The professor walked up to Luke and asked him a simple question: "What is your looking at, Luke?". Luke te…

Hello readers, if there are any. So, Trace has just returned and this time, with a vengeance. He wants to do a lot of things around here, and one of these ideas is the topic for the tenth edition of the Wattz Review. Now then, to business, if you look to your right, you can see a beta test for the new theme that Trace made. Personnally, I think it's quite spectacular, but anyway, please put your thoughts on the "Trace Actually Works" page. I think this theme is nice as it is related toward Last Specter.

Anyway, this isn't just about the new theme, this is also about the new makeover idea that Trace had. He wants to redo the main page. Don't worry as it should have the same information as the one we have now, but it may look A LOT different. I h…

This story is based on the now-deleted Penny Dove page. One day, I woke up, and suddenly realised how I could introduce her to Professor Layton. I wrote it in the form of two letters, one adressed to Penny, the other to the professor. P.S: Forgive me if it is similar to Pandora's Box, or cliché, or anything like that.

    Letter One:

"Penny, I hope you are well. If your parents have done as I asked them to, you would have received this a few weeks after your tenth birthday. My best guess is that you’re beginning to question who you are. It is time for you to know.

I was employed as a lab assistant before you were born. Assigned to help two scientists, in a few months, they managed to build a prototype time machine. One of them wanted to wait unti…

Well, this is unexpected! By the end of the week, I should have DB's puzzle index done. In the mean time, the rest of our awesome staff should start production on Unwound Future's. By the end of this, I hope LS will be out, but who cares. Anyway, we have been working hard on puzzles so whatever. We have around 4 puzzles done right now. That's a very, very small number since there are over 200 more pages to be made. Sigh, we should get done sooner than expected since (this is an estimate) there are 4 people who should be working on UF puzzle pages. Great work thus far, guys!!

Last Specter is coming soon, readers. Professor Layton and Luke go on their fourth adventure...but wait, it's a prequel so it's actually their first. Head explosion! Anyway, this is probably the best Layton game yet, although Unwound Future is pretty difficult to top. What are your thoughts on what Last Specter will bring? What do you think the puzzles will be, or what the story holds, or what the lies ahead for the professor?

Personally, Mask of Miracle doesn't compare to this one. I think Last Specter will be the best yet. But then again...I haven't played this game, yet...just following its release date which still needs to be revealed.

A little advice...don't put spoilers on this blog please. For those who have "researched" the game extensively…

Okay people. This is it, E3 2011. I don't know if you can, but cannot wait for what will be revealed in the next couple days. Level-5 probably will release localization info regarding Last Specter. Level-5, probably not but maybe, might release new info about Professor Layton 6 or VS Ace Attorney. Anyway, Microsoft's press conference is tomorrow before noon i think. I, personally, cannot wait for E3. What are your thoughts on what will happen this week?

Well boys and girls, the time has come. We have finished Curious Village's Puzzle Index. Sigh. Now we must proceed onward. Last Specter will probably have a fall-release and I want at least DB done by then. This one will be a lot more difficult than the previous index, but nevertheless, we have gotta get this stuff done, people! Personally, I will hopefully be able to work a lot in the next month or two, but I don't want to be the only one doing this. We have around 120 Diabolical Box puzzles left. This is a pretty helpful walkthrough and I think this can increase production with ease!

C'mon people, we have some 4 people on the puzzle project and Trace is rarely here! We have to step up the pace and go faster!

This is the fifth edition of the Wattz Review. This week's installment is about uploading images. This isn't going to be about licensing--in fact, most people around here already pick the right license. No, I'm going to talk about sprucing up pages with images. Now I want to add in images to many pages that either have very few or no images at all. I started today with the games' articles (Unwound Future, Diabolical Box, et cetera). Many, many pages need to be tremendous and extraordinary with better images. I mean to say many articles don't have images we can easily supply.

Also, I noticed there are images that have been uploaded, but they aren't used in any pages. It isn'l like there's a page for them as there are. I'm wondering why that i…

Is there any page on our Wiki that has a list of Wanted Articles (Red Links). I was searching but my efforts have been fruitless. Can anyone point me to any page with this info? I suppose this will be my next "quest" in the wiki.

On another note, there are still 35+ puzzles in Curious Village left. I can't work on these at school (where most of my editing time comes from) so I can't work on these puzzles as fast as the last ones. Also, little progress has been made on some previous topics, but last week's edition did really well. We got a lot done last week!

Well, this is it. We almost have all of the CV Puzzles. Right now I am working on clean up and uploading. This is a difficult endeavor and will take some time before completion. I am hoping to have every curious village puzzle up by the beginning of June. As for DB Puzzles, I expect them to be done (or at least the in-game ones) by August. So, can I ask you, the reader, to help me and this wiki by expanding its index of puzzles. Help with whatever you can with the puzzle pages and we can finish this project in just a few weeks.

Another issue I want to discuss is about the featured article pages. I think it is about time for a new featured article, am I right? I mean Clive is nice and a long article filled with pictures and info, but it has …

Ahh, Curious Village puzzles. This marks the second edition of the Wattz Review. Now then, it would seen that the Curious Village still doesn't have all of its puzzle pages yet. Heh, I cannot believe it: A Layton Wiki that doesn't have puzzle pages. You, like me, want to fix this wiki so that it looks very, very nice. Help me and the other members on this Puzzle Project by adding in more. If you want to, use this page for help on adding puzzles. Of course, don't go crazy and add in Puzzle Pages without the proper information. Another way to get help on this matter is to observe other puzzle pages. Don't forget to add in the PuzzleNav Template at the top of the page.

Anyway, as an update on my other projects, I have to say that I haven't re…

This is the first edition of the new Wattz Reveiw. This will be a weekly update on me and my work here. First thing's first, I want to say that I have started up a few new projects. The first I want to tackle being a Featured Music section. I want comformation on this idea. I believe it can be swell if we added in a new section on the main page that details a piece of music voted on by the local populous. There are over 130 songs to pick from so this can work for a very long time. Discuss it here.

Another idea I wanted to discuss is concerning the characters in the Layton games. I have started adding in Infoboxes. I think this will add more organization with all of the characters in the games. So, I will be adding those in as well.

    Music

    March 8, 2011 by Midnightblue05

I was wondering if there was currently an article with the list of music tracks from the games. If so, would you mind giving me the name of the article or the link? If not, I would be very happy to start putting together a page for it (consider it a pet project of mine). ^_^ Also, if there isn't an article, but an article would be unnecessary, please tell me. Thank you!

    Puzzle Difficulty

    March 7, 2011 by Wattz2000

I don't know, but has anyone else noticed that there has been a decline in difficulty of puzzles. I mean Curious Village made my head explode and the downloadable puzzles are very hard. Diabolical Box was way too easy with the exception a few puzzles like Layton's Challenges. I mean the final puzzle in that just made me mad because my DS's microphone broke. Unwound Future had some doosies I'll admit. A real heart swapper and a few others at the end were quite difficult for me too. I just want your oppinion on this matter.

    Hidden Puzzles

    March 1, 2011 by Wattz2000

I think I asked somewhere before. I was wanting to know about the Hidden Puzzles within the Original Trilogy. I think I might have all of the materials necessary to do so. I want to start doing this so when I finish Unwound Future's Characters I'll be doing this. Does anyone say nay to this idea?

    The Unwound Future

    February 22, 2011 by Wattz2000

I now have completed my second playthrough of Professor Layton and the Unwound Future. I now, just like I did with Diabolical Box, have a piece of paper detailing every puzzle in the story mode's (1-153) location. So now, well I started yesterday a little, I will try to work on the Unwound Future Character Articles. Also I see that there aren't much for items and location articles, so I shall be working on those too. We need puzzle articles too, though. I'll find something to occupy myself. Wish me luck!!

    The Diabolical Box

    February 18, 2011 by Wattz2000

I now have "completed" the character articles in the Diabolical Box. I know. I know. No links, but no puzzle pages too. I worked hard so could you at least give me some credit. Oh well. I still have to finish my replay of Unwound Furture so that may take a while.

I want to know where I can put the other puzzles in the game. I hope you know what I'm talking about when I say "The puzzles that Layton remembers all of the time by clicking on random items and spots". I kind of want to do what I did on the St. Mystere article. You know the two charts with the hidden puzzles. I want to put that type of thing for Diabolical Box too.

I know that i kept on asking and asking many users about the Mask of Miracle but i can't contain my excitement so what do you guys think about the Mask of Miracles, in your opinion, what do you think will happen? Will something amazing happen or there will be plot twist? Opinions please.

Well, wouldn't it kinda be great to see Professor Layton as a Prosecutor against Phoenix Wright? I wanna see if Phoenix gets a correct answer in puzzles XD Your opinions please.

I CAN'T WAIT!!! I WANNA KNOW THE STORY SO BADLY!!!

If the Mask of Miracles is released and there is already a video of each cutscene, pls. send it to me!!!

    The Wattz review

    February 8, 2011 by Wattz2000

I have decided to enhance the articles regaurding the characters who play solomn roles in the games. If someone has info on who exactly gives the player certain puzzles that'd be helpful . Thank you.

I don't know if this is the place to put it, but thank you for doing this. I was actually thinking last night that just putting the answers to puzzles on their page doesn't do much good if you don't know where to find it. That is next on my list of things to do, and thank you for starting it up well. =Trace Barkley|GFX 17:58, February 9, 2011 (UTC)

I now have finished my trek into Curious Village's Characters. As I said before I propose a "Hidden Puzzle" article. Now I'm off to do Location's Puzzles like the Tower for example.
