It was founded in October 1998 by Akihiro Hino[1], who is still the CEO and president of the company. In September 2010, LEVEL-5 International America, an American branch was founded[2].

LEVEL-5 has established many relationships with other companies, like Sony Computer Entertainment Inc., Square Enix and Nintendo.[3]

The company is mostly know for the Professor Layton, Inazuma Eleven, and various other video game series. They also air various animated TV series, like Inazuma Eleven (GO), Danball Senki and Mobile Suit Gundam AGE.
