Mo Heecan is a character appearing in Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires' Conspiracy and its anime adaptation. He is a former thief who lives in Bowlyn Hill.

Biography[]

Appearance[]

Mo Heecan is a skinny young man who has a large head with a spiky blue mohawk hairstyle, two big eyes popping out, and a long, downwards nose. He wears a pink shirt over a rolled-up dark purple jacket with a skull badge, matching pants, and dark blue boots.

Personality[]

Despite his mean-looking appearance, Mo Heecan is actually kind-hearted, and wants people to leave Bowlyn Hill due to the common crimes committed in the area. This is because he changed his past delinquent mannerisms after Ratman taught him a lesson, which Mo Heecan took to heart.

Plot[]

Pre-game[]

Three months before Case 7's events, Mo Heecan and his gang cornered Bob Bracket and threatened to give him his money. Just then, Ratman appeared and beat them up before they could do anything, which Bob used as an opportunity to escape.

Katrielle Layton, Ernest Greeves and Sherl first encounter Mo Heecan staring at them at Bowlyn Park. He runs away upon they notice him, and does the same thing again when they find him on a street. He runs into a dead-end alley and the group finds him. He acts threatening at first but then they realize he just wanted them to leave because the district is full of criminals. He then tells his backstory on how Ratman motivated him to change his mind and become a good person.

After Katrielle discovers that Cesar Chance is Ratman, a team of five superheroes called "The Rat Pack" is created to take turns on fighting crime in London. Mo Heecan becomes a member of this group.

Mo Heecan Profile

Once a typical Bowlyn Hill delinquent, this young man saw the light when Ratman saved him one day. He still looks like someone to avoid, however. Nowadays, he's one of the 'Rat Pack', too.

Trivia[]

  • His name is a play on "Mohawk", referencing his hairstyle.
  • The speech Ratman used to make Mo Heecan go straight is slighty different between Millionaires' Conspiracy and the anime adaptation: in the game, Ratman appealed to Heecan by mentioning his parents, and how his behavior was a source of deep worry and suffering. In the anime, Ratman instead encouraged Mo Heecan, as the strongest guy on Bowlyn Hill, to use his strenght to protect others instead of harming them.
