Plot[]

When the evacuation of Great Ely Street is ordered, Mr. Browne packs his family's belongings but refuses to evacuate himself after his son calls him a coward. Emmy solves his puzzle in order to convince him to leave.
After the specter destroys his hat shop, Mr. Browne briefly despairs over the futility of rebuilding the shop when all the youths seem to want these days is sunglasses. However, he snaps out of it upon noticing that Luke is wearing a hat.
