Plot[]
Professor Layton and the Eternal Diva[]
In the end, it is revealed that Nina was just another candidate to house Melina's memory in after she died just a year earlier. Her parentage is finally revealed by Emmy Altava, who was investigating the disappearance of a schoolgirl. Part of Melina's memory were trapped in Nina's mind; they eventually faded away because Nina was able to fight for control of her mind. Nina is last seen in the credits, happily reuniting with her parents.

Trivia[]
- The cat Nina's family appear to own is near-identical to Lady Dahlia's cat, Claudia.
- The "World of Professor Layton" guidebook describes her age as "7-year-old [sic] Melina", likely to avoid spoilers for the plot of the film. In other words, she is 7 years old during the film, and 7~8 (or 7-going-on-8) by the end before the timeskip at the end of the film.
- In comparison, Luke Triton, who is also shown after the events of Professor Layton and the Curious Village (as Flora is present in the present day of the film), is 10 when he first meets Layton in The Last Specter, 12 in Azran Legacy and a bit older by Curious Village, showing that during the events of the film as well as the ending before the timeskip, they would be close in age.
