Painting is a minigame in Professor Layton and the Curious Village. It is unlocked when Professor Layton and Luke Triton first arrive at the Reinhold Manor and look at the paintings of the late Baron Reinhold and his daughter, Flora. Matthew then gives them an old frame and the first painting scrap. The player has to collect all the scraps and repair the painting. Once the minigame is complete, the Art Lover's House will be added to Layton's Challenges.

Restoring the Painting[]
The scraps found are located at the bottom screen and must be tapped with the stylus to go to the top screen (with the painting frame). The player can switch between the top and the bottom screen. At the top screen, the scraps can be rotated and moved by the player to any position.
The finished painting portrays Lady Viola, Baron Reinhold's late wife, and Claudia.
