A Trio of Trouble is a puzzle in Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy.

Puzzle

A set of triplets who are friends of yours have invited you to join them for a day of boating on the lake. The three of them are identical, so you thought you'd be able to spot them all straight away, but there's one you just can't find. He must be hiding on one of the boats...but which one?

Two of the boys you can see have identical faces - they must be brothers.

All three triplets are boating on the lake, so there should be another boy somewhere who looks just like the boys in boats 2 and 3...

But can you see anyone like that?

The last boy must be hiding inside one of the boats, but which one could it be?

Look how low each boat is in the water. That should give you a clue...

After closing this hint, try giving your Nintendo 3DS system a gentle shake. This will cause some waves to break the surface of the lake.

One of the people in the boats will react to the waves in quite a different way from the others. That's because there's a boy hiding in their boat, weighing it down!
