158 - A Puzzling Pyramid 3159 - Blooming Flowers 3160 - Sprint and Switch! 2

Blooming Flowers 3 is a puzzle in Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy.

Puzzle

This growing family wants to keep their garden filled with flowers all year round, but they can't just be planted any old way: no two flowers of the same colour can be next to one another.

With this in mind, use the various blocks to fill the garden with flowers. Bear in mind that the blocks of flowers can be rotated, and that flowers can't be planted in the square that contains the family's house.

Hints

Click a Tab to reveal the Hint.

You should have two long, thin blocks. Take the one with blue flowers on each end, and place it along the left edge of the garden, reaching into the bottom-left corner.

The other long, thin block should be placed flat along the bottom of the garden.

The square block needs to be positioned against the garden's right edge, on top of the second long, thin block you placed.

Make sure there are no flowers of the same colour touching.

Look at the gap between the long, thin block on the garden's left edge, and the square block you just positioned. The five-flower L-shaped block goes in here, nestled into the corner created between the two long, thin blocks.

The smallest of your blocks needs to go in the gap between this L-shaped block and the square block on the right. Make sure you don't place anything on top of the house!

The largest of your blocks, the step-like one containing six flowers, slots into the top-left corner of the garden. You'll need to rotate it first, of course.

Now you only have two blocks remaining. With a bit of thought, you should have no problem working out where they need to go.

Solution

Correct

Brilliant!

These flowers shot up so quickly, they must be feeling a little daisy!
