Chess Assault is a puzzle in Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney.

Two opposing sets of knight chess pieces are engaged in battle. In order to win, your chess piece must topple the enemy pieces scattered across the board.

Chess knights move two squares forwards and one square perpendicular on each turn. The initial direction can be up, down, left or right.

Be careful. The board is filled with pits and spaces that will move your piece in the direction shown.

The best place to start is at the beginning.

Do not let the large number of enemies deter you!

Don't overthink.
Just pick an enemy and attack!

The two joined panels in the upper centre region are very dangerous.

Move there, and you'll have no hope of achieving victory!

If you find you cannot reach the enemy, it is best to continue moving around the board and waiting vigilantly for an opportunity to strike.

There is something ominous about the moving panels this time around.

The enemy may be large in number but this puzzle is not as difficult as it seems.

In fact, all of the enemies can be easily defeated without once using a moving panel!

Not a single enemy piece has been left standing!
