36 - Decipher the Door

Decipher the Door is a puzzle in Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. The puzzle must be solved in order to progress the story.

Puzzle

Here is a panel of numbers.

The numbers range between 1 and 6. Touching the buttons on the Touch Screen will increase and decrease the numbers.

Arrange the numbers to read 3333. Do you think you can do it in only four turns?

Going with the shortest route possible means completing the puzzle in four steps.

You will only press the bottom button once.

Why not start with that?

The very top button doesn't need to be pressed at all.

There are three buttons that you have not yet pressed.

You will have to choose one and press it twice. Which button is the correct one?

Press the second button from the top twice.

That only leaves one more button!

That's right!

Just hitting the buttons at random until you end up at the solution can also be fun.

It looks like the gate is opening!
