There are no shortcuts here. The clown's route is lengthy and involves a number of diversions. Don't be disheartened, though! You've got a 1-in-24 chance of simply guessing the right answer, and if you try thinking about various combinations, you're bound to narrow things down.
The clown actually has to pass over every square on the platform on his way to the little girl.
Now then, all four corners contain either a rabbit or an elephant, and since you know the clown definitely passes over these squares, you also know that the commands instructing the clown to turn should be assigned to these symbols.
You should assign the "turn right" command to the rabbit, which means that the "turn left" command should be assigned to the elephant.
In following the previous hints you should have assigned both "turn" commands. Now think about the other two symbols.
What if you assigned "jump a square" to the cat and "go forwards" to the bear? The clown would jump, land on the bear and go straight on before turning on the elephant and jumping off the platform at the next cat. Maybe it's better to assign "go forwards" to the cat instead... Only one command left!
Solution
Correct
That's right!
The commands need to be assigned as follows:
Cat = go forwards
Bear = jump a square
Rabbit = turn right
Elephant = turn left
The little girl enjoyed the show as much as the flowers!
