Enchanted Sums is a puzzle in Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. The puzzle must be solved in order to progress the story.


There are twelve gems, each of them numbered between 1 and 12.

There is also a set of three triangles with gems already inside them. Keep in mind, these gems cannot be moved.

Place the gems from your hand so that the sum of all the numbers on each triangle's perimeter adds up to 39.

This task is not as difficult as it seems.

You might want to start with getting the sum of the outermost triangle to 39 first.

Place the 12 gem in the bottom right slot.

1 + 3 + 6 + 12 = 22

This means it would only take a total of 17 to equal 39.

Perhaps 10 would help get you there.

That's right. The 10 and 7 gems equal 17.

Let's have a look at the middle triangle.

5 + 6 + 7 + 9 + 10 = 37

That leaves one slot and only one answer...

The only numbers left are 11 and 4 and there are only two slots left.
