077 - Fruits and Fungi

Fruits and Fungi is a puzzle in Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy. The puzzle must be solved in order to progress the story.

Puzzle

Our love-struck hero, Julien, must lead everyone through this forest and into the chapel. One wrong turn, though, and they'll be hopelessly lost. Luckily, Layton and the others know a trick to making it through:

"Pick two mushrooms, then one strawberry, and repeat until you reach the other side. And don't walk down any path twice.

You'll sometimes have to head back towards the starting point, even when you appear to be quite close to the exit.

Don't just think about your first steps. Try reversing your thought process and working things out backwards from the goal as well.

The shortest route through the forest has you collecting five strawberries on your way to the goal.

To collect your first strawberry, go straight at the first junction you come to, then turn left at the next one.

After you've collected this first strawberry, follow the path until you come to a junction. From there. take the path that leads you back towards your starting point.

Make sure you collect the mushrooms and strawberries in the correct order all the way to the exit.
