The nine blocks each have some kind of ancient glyph on them, but there doesn't appear to be any direct correlations between the glyphs and the symbols in the slots.

If the glyphs on the blocks don't mean anything, then what could the code on the door represent?

US Version

You can place the block in the center of the door into the middle slot.

Do you understand why this block goes into that slot?

UK Version

You can place the block in the centre of the door into the middle slot.

Do you understand why this block goes into that slot?

The bottom-right block goes into the leftmost slot.

The symbol in that slot bears a kind of resemblance to where you got the block from, doesn't it?

Each symbol represents how each block is framed by the surrounding blocks.

The blocks surrounding the top-left block form the symbol in the rightmost slot. Those surrounding the top-right block make the symbol in the second slot from the right.

Now which block does the remaining symbol indicate?

Solution

Correct

Correct.

The symbols show you which block to use in each slot based on the way each block is framed by the others.

Aren't you just itching to see what's beyond that door?
