Guest Again is a puzzle in Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. It is part of a Special Episode, and must be solved during that episode to continue.

Puzzle

The owner of an inn has a most peculiar hobby where he paints portraits of guests that are staying at the inn.

There are nine pictures of guests that stayed at the inn over the last nine days. It seems that none of the guests returned to the inn after their stay was finished.

Which set of guests stayed at the inn on which days? To give you a clue, the fourth day has already been correctly placed.

The beginning is always a good place to start.

Swap the first and the fifth picture. The first day now has the correct portrait of its three guests.

Next, swap the eighth and ninth pictures. The ninth day will now have the correct portrait of its three guests. That's three pictures in their correct spots!

Only three guests stayed at the inn on the third and fifth days.

Look at the order of the guests from the first day. Which three guests could still be staying at the inn on that third day?

Take a close look at the remaining pictures.

The moustached gentleman that stayed on the fourth day was confirmed to have stayed on the third day.

That should make it quite clear which other days he stayed at the inn.
