"Bruv, it's me. You gotta help! I was keeping watch at that junction when a copper spots me! So I speed away to the next junction, then keep going straight. He's still after me, so first chance I get, I turn right - almost double back on myself, but not quite. Next junction, I take a right, and at the one after that I take another right and nearly double back on myself again. The junction after that's where I'm hiding now!"
He could not have kept going straight at any of the junctions that are directly along from A, so you know you need to look for another starting point.
If the crook started at junction B, he could have sped along to junction D, then kept going straight to junction F. He could also have started from junction F and travelled the same route, in the opposite direction.
Since this isn't possible from any of the other junctions, you know he must have started at B or F.
The crook said that he turned right at the second junction he came to, almost back the way he came but not quite. If he were to go from F to D to B, it would be impossible for him to then turn right. On the other hand, if he were to go from B to D to F, he'd then be able to turn and head towards E. You therefore know that the crook started at junction B.
The crook said that the next thing he did was turn right at junction E.
If he turns right at E and continues to junction A, he can make a sharp turn right, almost turning back on himself at that junction.
After that he proceeds to the next junction, which is where he is now hiding!
