086 - Reggie's Slidy Ride 2

Reggie's Slidy Ride 2 is a puzzle in Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy.

Puzzle

Reggie the Red wants to sunbathe on this frozen lake, and he needs your help to reach that perfect spot in the middle.

Little turtles like Reggie go flying if anything bumps into them, but the big ones won't budge unless they're hit by Reggie or an ice block. The blocks only move when you move them, and they fill any holes they fall into.

Can you bump and slide the turtles and blocks around so that Reggie is left standing alone in the middle of the ice?

All those holes are really restricting your movement, aren't they?

Start off by using a block of ice to fill the hole on the left edge of the ice.

Once the hole on the left edge of the ice has been filled in, you can slide the big turtle that's in the second column from the left downwards until it collides with the block of ice below it.

Then slide this block of ice to the right to fill up the remaining hole.

Following on from Hint 2, use the big turtle in the top-left corner to send the poor fellow below it into the lake. Once you've done that, use the green turtle in the bottom right to bump the one above it out of the way.

Finally, you can slide the big turtle on the far left into the little one on the right.

Almost there!

After working through the previous hints, you should have just Reggie and the two big turtles left on the board.

It's time for Reggie to do a little moving himself now, so start by sliding him downwards. Once you've done that, you're one step away from solving the puzzle.
