Spectacular Views is a puzzle in Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask.

Puzzle

There's a special way to arrange these jewels. Can you work it out?

US Version

(1) Viewed from the north, the diamond is to the right of the ruby and the emerald is to the left of the sapphire.
(2) From the east, the emerald is to the right of the diamond.
(3) From the south, the ruby is to the left of the sapphire.
(4) From the west, the sapphire is on the far right, the ruby is on the far left, and two jewels lie between them.

UK Version

(2) From the east, the emerald is right of the diamond.
(3) From the south, the ruby is left of the sapphire.
(4) From the west, the sapphire is on the far right, the ruby is on the far left and two jewels lie between them.

US Version

The cardinal directions north, south, east and west correspond to the top, bottom, right, and left of the board respectively.

You'll have a hard time if you just look from one direction at a time. Try combining two points of view at the same time when working this one out.

UK Version

Try starting with clues (1) and (3), which describe the view from the north and south.

Don't forget that when you're looking from the north, the right-hand side will be west, not east.

By combining these two clues, you can work out the order of jewels from west to east: diamond, ruby, sapphire, emerald.
