The Path of True Love is a puzzle in Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy.

Puzzle

Mr A sets off in his car to visit Miss B, who lives in a faraway town. He leaves his town during the daytime and plans to arrive in Miss B's town during daytime, as well.

It takes 12 hours to travel between each town on this map. There are many potential routes Mr A can take, but if he wants to both set off and arrive during the daytime, there is one road he will have to take whatever his route.

Use your stylus to select this road.

Hints

Click a Tab to reveal the Hint.

First of all, you could look for the shortest possible route between the two towns, which goes along the bottom of the map. However, if Mr A were to take this route and leave during the daytime, he'd arrive in B's town during the night...

Here's one way in which you can solve this puzzle: write "night" on each town that is adjacent to A's town, then write "day" on each town that is adjacent to those.

You don't have to write anything, of course, but it is much easier if you use the Memo Function.

Did you try writing "night" and "day" all over the map? If you did, you should have two towns marked "night" situated next to each other towards the top of the map.

Remember the two adjacent "night" towns mentioned in Hint 3? Once you take the road that leads between these towns, everything changes, meaning "night" towns become "day" towns, and vice versa.

This is the road Mr A must take if he wants to both set off and arrive during the daytime!
