Rory is a character appearing in Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box. He is another resident of Folsense. He had a love interest who left Folsense many, many years ago. He still waits at the Folsense Station waiting for her to return. So in the mean time, while he waits, he greets everyone who enters Folsense.
However, Rory, along with the rest of Folsense and its residents, turned out be an illusion created by a gas coming from Herzen Castle. The real Rory existed fifty years ago, the illusion of him disappears when the castle collapsed clogging up the hole where the gas spewed out.
Puzzles[]
Rory gives Professor Layton and Luke a couple of puzzles during the game whenever they are in Folsense. The first puzzle you will get from Rory is "Plaza Puzzle". The second puzzle that Rory gives them is the puzzle "Disappearing Act 3".

Rory's the youth you may have seen standing outside Folsense staition all day long. Though he seems like a slacker, he's just a guy who's been waiting outside the station for his girlfriend to return for a very long time.
