The Major is a minor character appearing in Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires' Conspiracy. He is Seymour Fraymes' pet bird.
Biography[]
Appearance[]
The Major appears to be a Common hill myna, with a large orange beak, dark feathers, yellow wattles on the sides of the head and on the nape, and a white patch on the wings. The only real difference is that the Major has black legs and feet, while real hill mynas' are yellow.
Personality[]
The Major is a playful bird with the ability mimic human speech- a trait shared with real-life members of his species. He also loves popcorn, and will eat it from Hayes when he brings some with him to the projection box.
Plot[]
Case 3[]
The Major ends up being the culprit behind the removal of the kiss scene, as it is revealed he had left droppings on the frames before the movie was premiered and Seymour couldn't bear to run them through his machines.
